BENTLEY PINES RESTAURANT WINS GOLD PLATE AWARD FOR THIRD YEAR RUNNING
For the third consecutive year, South Metropolitan TAFE's Bentley Pines Restaurant has been awarded the Gold Plate for Best Restaurant within a Training Establishment. The restaurant is operated by apprentice chefs and front-of-house hospitality students.
For the third consecutive year, South Metropolitan TAFE's Bentley Pines Restaurant has been awarded the Gold Plate for Best Restaurant within a Training Establishment.
The win places the restaurant amongst some of Western Australia’s finest eateries, and allows entry to the esteemed Prix d’Honour category in 2016. Prix d’Honour is exclusive to establishments that have won a Gold Plate Award for three years running.
South Metropolitan TAFE Managing Director Jill Jamieson said winning a third consecutive Gold Plate reflected the quality of training and service on offer at the Bentley Pines.
"This achievement demonstrates that South Metropolitan TAFE and the Bentley Pines deliver a product in line with industry-best practices," Ms Jamieson said.
"We have incredibly committed, enthusiastic staff that are dedicated to passing their knowledge and experience onto our students."
"We also have a world-class training facility in the Bentley Pines that enables students to put their skills into practice in a real workplace."
"The end result is a fantastic dining option for the general public, with the Bentley Pines offering the community a wide range of services, from bistro lunches to silver-service dining."

South Metropolitan TAFE's Bentley Pines offers guests a range of dining options, from a-la-carte to buffet style, as well as a bistro service at lunchtime on weekdays.
The venue also plays host to the Great Chefs & Great Wines dinner series, which involves guest chefs from high profile restaurants around Western Australia taking charge of the kitchen and student-chefs for a night to deliver patrons an exciting dining experience.

2016 High Tea Event
The high tea event for 2016 is run and organised by South Metropolitan TAFE students at the Bentley Pines Restaurant and Bistro on 12/10/216, 19/10/2016 and 25/10/2016.
The event is going to start from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
The event is going to be provided with traditional afternoon tea food, savory food and tea and coffee.
